Your unique capabilities and telling of your story in the ways you choose to resolve what brings you here are highly valued in the counseling process. I may use assessments and diagnoses but may also help with adjustment or not need to label. I assess the problem and offer researched solutions proven to work. I use a variety of therapies, including a person centered approach and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also offer Equine and Canine Assisted therapy. I offer tele-therapy and remote video counseling.

    CBT is proven to work as effectively as Rx drugs for some diagnoses. Sometimes prescription medication is necessary and I consult with medical doctors and other professionals I refer to. I do Play Therapy and Couples Counseling. I was also a Professor of Psychology, Career Development, and College Success. I work with military and international clients.

    I'm a Licenced Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida, who has 6.5 years of working with individuals struggling with a variety of different concerns including - depression, anxiety, stress management, addiction, family concerns, guilt and shame, and self-worth.I believe in a person-centered approach - a focus on the individual, your specific goals and needs, and working together to meet your overall goals. Everyone is dealing with their own struggles on their own individual journeys, my goal is to help support them and assist them in coping with these struggles as best I can.

    I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy, while also focusing on that person-centered approach. No one can tell your story better than you can. The first step is always the hardest and asking for help can be incredibly daunting, but the things that challenge us, change us.
